Our Mission and Strategy
Given our vision and philosophy, LPAC set as our mission:
To educate, equip, and empower Latino and other urban churches
to develop holistic ministries.
For this, we employ a two-tier holistic strategy to serve people and institutions:
Holistic Ministry Operations
We operate community-based, citywide, national, and international ministries that serve as models of holistic ministry for replication and adaptation at the local, city, national, and international levels.
Holistic Ministry Development
We provide holistic capacity building services to churches, faith-based organizations, and community-based organizations that help them align to their institutional principles and the participation levels of their service recipients.
To achieve our holistic strategy, we prepare board, staff, and volunteers of our faith and community-based organizations to help children, youth, and adults strengthen their gifts and talents, and act on their personal calling. For this, we employ our holistic service approach—Ministering in a Situation of Captivity™. Subsequently, board, staff, and volunteers teach children, youth, and adults to minister in a situation of captivity, who in turn minister to those who follow them.
As a result, our communities enjoy successions of children, youth, and adults who serve as resources to their peers, families, and communities. These children, youth, and adults develop their personal skills, learn to work in groups, and collaborate on personal and social transformation initiatives. In the process, they become partners in shifting the community’s paradigm to personal and social responsibility. Ultimately, they work to strengthen the Four Pillars of Community Life™. These pillars, in turn, facilitate the ability of communities to reach, serve, and engage most of their community members and institutions.
